The Bramell's and Great Friends

On Friday, I left after work to go see The Bramell's! Jonathan stayed home because he values his sleep! HA!! Good thing because if he had gone, I can honestly say that he would never let me have a baby! Lee was right when he said that the Bramell house was good birth control! All jokes aside, I had such a wonderful visit. I hadn't seen them in 6 weeks so I was very ready for a visit.

Sleeping Evan

Sleeping Carley

When I got there, I decided that I would give Rhonda a break and take night duty with Carley and Evan. She thought she would end up getting up too but she never heard us all night long. I got about 4 hours sleep (maybe a tad more) that night. I was very glad that Rhonda didn't hear us because I wanted to give her a break. She was very thankful. I really didn't mind getting up with them because it gave me a chance to spend some time with them and "bond." They really are good babies.

Sweet Sweet Evan
(He looks just like Lee to me!)

He looks like he is smiling!

Carley just hanging out!

She looks like Becca to me in this picture!

And of course Becca Boo was very excited to see me and gave me lots of lovin. She is such a good big sister and helps Rhonda get blankets and binkies, etc. I can't believe how big she has gotten. I got so tickled at her because she has started shrugging her shoulders and it is hilarious. She is also making the funniest faces and expressions. Rhonda and Lee said that they don't know where she picked this up. Becca and I talked about her upcoming trip to see me and Jonathan. She is going to be coming the second weekend in August for a few days by herself. This is the first time that she has come to our house without Rhonda and Lee. Jonathan and I are super excited. Anyway, we were talking about the trip and I was making sure that she realized that she would be there without her momma and daddy and she said that momma and daddy were staying at home. So I knew that she understood. I then asked her what she wanted to do when she came to our house. She told that she wanted to go fishing! LOL!! She is a mess! I asked Rhonda where she got that seeing as how she has never been fishing. They said that when they went to feed the ducks at the park that some people were fishing and that they told her the Uncle T likes to fish. I guess that she remembered that. I got a huge kick out of that and so did Jonathan when I told him. So I guess we will be buying Becca her first fishing pole and taking her fishing when she comes to visit. Jonathan is so proud. She then informed me that she wanted to go to restaurant. She has a busy weekend planned and we can't wait!

This is one of the only pics I got of Becca because I knew that I would get to take more of her when she comes to see us in a few weeks. I wanted to make sure I got plenty of Evan and Carley because poor Rhonda and Lee just don't have time!

On Saturday, I got up and started helping out around the house. I washed bottles (which is an everyday thing when you are going through 14-16 a day) then did a few loads of laundry. Rhonda and I ran to a cute gift store so I could get a gift for my friend Hannah who is expecting....more on that later. Then our friend Anne came over for a few hours. She helped me SO much with the babies and Becca so that Rhonda and Lee could get in the garage and do some throwing away and sorting. They worked hard but got it done. Rhonda had planned to try and take a nap but that didn't work out.

Anne and Evan

Carley is a good eater!!

Carley getting a bath from Anne since she peed all over the place when I was changing her diaper! I was so thankful Anne was there to help me so Rhonda and Lee could get some work done! We got in a good visit as well!

I think that she liked it!

Rhonda and I got ready and decided we would have a "night out." We went to the movies to see Eclipse. It was really good and by far the best of all the Twlight movies. I looked over about halfway through the movie and Rhonda was sitting there with her eyes closed. I whispered her name and her eyes shot open. She then informed me that she wasn't asleep and that she was still listening. HA! I laughed at her so hard!!! Then, when we were leaving, she commented that it felt weird that she wasn't hauling kids, a diaper bag, or anything else but her purse. I think she needed a few hours away and we enjoyed getting some time together. When we got back "Super Dad" (as he called himself) had gotten Becca in bed and was holding sweet Carley while Evan was in his crib screaming! He wasn't happy and ended up not going to bed until around 2:30! I went to bed at around midnight because I had to get up early and leave on Sunday. I got up with Carley at around 2:30 and Lee was still sitting in the kitchen holding Evan!!! Poor Lee!

When we got back from the movies, we did a mini photo shoot with the babies! I was just snapping away trying to get a few good shots. It is very hard to do with two babies but I think I got a few!

I got up Sunday early because I had to head to Little Rock to meet up with Hannah, Kara, Leslie, and Melanie for lunch. We all hadn't seen Hannah in a long time and were very excited to see her baby bump and give her lots of presents!! Jay ate lunch with us too and put up with all us girls! lol Hannah is just so precious with her little belly!! We can't wait until next month when Baby Boy Howell is born. Hannah got a lot of great gifts. I am so excited that she and Jay are closer to us now. Only one more year and they will be back in Arkansas! We are all ready so that they can start being there for all our get-togethers!!!

I wanted to make sure a got a profile of Hannah's baby bump! So precious!

She is just so cute!

All in all I had an awesome weekend. It took ma a few days to catch up on my sleep! Rhonda and Lee ARE "SUPER PARENTS!" They need costumes with a cape and all! HA! I don't know how they do it but they do a wonderful job! I am so proud to be Becca, Evan, and Carley's aunt! They really are the greatest....but I know I am partial!

For Kara

This blog is for Kara! She asked when I started this blog if I was going to be a "good blogger" or a "bad blogger." Good meaning post on a regular basis and bad meaning...well, not. I haven't blogged since the first week of July so I knew if I didn't update with something, she would talk about this weekend and accuse me of being a "bad blogger!" ;)

I'm not uploading any pics this week because for one, we haven't done anything very exciting in the past few weeks and two, our "project birdhouse" (lol, I know people!) is not done. The last 2 weekends Jonathan and I have built about 6 or so birdhouses! We have been having so much fun doing this! And yes, I know we are dorks! We are now in the painting and decorating stages. I can't wait to show them off. We have even thought about selling some. They are so cheap to make and folks will buy anything personalized and unique.

This weekend we are going to Fayetteville to see the Bramell's and then Sunday I am going to eat lunch with all my girls! I can't wait! Pics next post for sure!

4th of July Weekend

I can't even begin to tell you how excited Jonathan and I were to have a long 3 day weekend!! We wanted to go see The Bramell's in Springdale and also go to the Lovell's annual 4th of July party but couldn't decide. We have been going and doing so much the past few months that we decided that we just wanted to stay home and do nothing. We hated to miss seeing the babies and all our great friends but I will say that we enjoyed not having a "plan" for the weekend.

So I know some people will laugh at me for this part of my post but I can't help it! Jonathan and I have been feeding our birds and just love watching them. I got a few up close pics of the yellow finches! Aren't they so pretty? I also got a few pictures of a beautiful black and blue butterfly that seemed to enjoy my flowers! On Saturday, while Jonathan's ribs were cooking, we finally put up our bird houses. We had a couple of these on the top of the cabinets in our apartment and the others we have picked up on clearance at Hobby Lobby and Garden Ridge. We LOVE how they look on the fence in the backyard. We are planning to make and paint a few with the leftover lumber from building the fence.

Saturday night, Angela, a girl that works for me, brought her kids over to shoot off fireworks and watch the BIG show that Batesville does every year at the river. We just walked across the street from our house and sat on the bluff! Jonathan's best friend Chad and his girlfriend Lauren also came from Wynne to spend the night and hang out. I only got one picture from that night. I was slacking on the picture taking! Oops!

This is Jamie and Ashlyn

On Sunday, Chad, Lauren, Jonathan and I all decided to go down to the river and just hang out and relax. We loaded up our coolers and chairs and drove out on "the sandbar." People in Batesville call it the sandbar but it is really gravel. (We have never gotten why they do that?!) We had a really good time getting some sun and soaking in the cold river water. I did better and took a lot of pics! :)

I had to add this one. This is Mark Martin's house that sits above the White River. It is HUGE! For those of you who don't know, he is a NASCAR driver.

This is the spillway. Usually, the water is rushing over that green hill. In the 4 years that we have lived here, we have never seen the water NOT flow over. Talk about needing some rain!

Double Trouble!!

Silly boys!

Love this!

The guys had fun getting to visit!

I had to post this! Chad didn't bring any shoes to wear at the river and the rocks were killing his feet. I let him borrow my flip flops and they were too big! He looked so funny trying to walk around in them.

On Monday, we just sat around and took naps and rested. It was really nice not to have to work on the house or have somewhere to go. Although now, I am really missing Becca and those babies! We will be making a trip that way very soon! Stay tuned for the next posts which will hopefully include some awesome homemade birdhouses! :)
