This is Jack. He is the newest addition! We got him in Fort Walton Beach at the kite store! His head spins around when the wind blows.

Fall Flowers
I thought I would also post about my fall mums! They are just so beautiful and I wanted to document how pretty they were while in full bloom. Some of these pics were last week and then some were taken today! I love pulling into the driveway and seeing these. It just makes my smile.
Halloween 2010
Jonathan and I got invited to a Halloween party in Greers Ferry Saturday night. We decided to dress up and go! I was a dalmatian and Jonathan was a fireman. I made my outfit and then bought the ears. We had a good time and ended up leaving in time to be home by midnight. lol Yes, we are old! We did get to give candy out to a few trick or treaters. Not as many as we have had in the past. We think they must have gotten a slow start this year. I could only share a few pictures as this was a rowdy bunch!

Flat Stanley
I stole the following from Flat Stanley's Facebook page......
Flat Stanley is a 1964 children's book by Jeff Brown
The story goes...
Stanley Lambchop and his younger brother Arthur are given a big bulletin board by their Dad for putting pictures and posters on. He hangs it on the wall over Stanley's bed, but during the night the board falls from the wall, flattening Stanley in his sleep. He survives and makes the best of his altered state, and soon he is entering locked rooms by sliding under the door, and playing with his younger brother by being used as a kite. Stanley even helps catch some art museum thieves by posing as a painting on the wall. But one special advantage is that Flat Stanley can now visit his friends by being mailed in an envelope.
As the Librarian at Wynne primary school I would like to send Flat Stanley around the world in as many interesting places as possible. If you are interested in letting Stanley visit, please send my your address. You will keep Stanley for about a week and take pictures and maybe even write a short letter on what Stanley did during his stay!
Amy Searcy is the librarian at the Wynne Primary School. She let us know about her Flat Stanley project. Cool huh? I thought so....SO, we decided to take Flat with us to Fort Walton Beach!!! He had a lot of fun!! Here are some of the pictures.....

Flat and our GPS helped us get to Florida without getting lost!
When we got to Fort Walton Beach, Flat Stanley had to get his picture taken with the welcome sign!

Here Flat is with ALL the shells that he found!
Jonathan and I really had a good time with Flat Stanley. Probably more fun than we should have had!! lol We took him everywhere and got a lot more pics but I couldn't post them all! What a great idea to teach children about the different parts of the world! We kept Flat in case we go anywhere else cool this year.
Anniversary Trip To Florida
Jonathan and I both had vacation time scheduled for the 2nd week of October but we couldn't decide where to go for our anniversary. We had thought St. Louis, camping, Hot Springs, etc. But I got an email for an awesome deal to go back to Florida and so we decided to go!! Who decides to go to Florida in October on 9 days notice....um...us?! WE LOVE THE BEACH IN OCTOBER!!!! The weather was PERFECT!!! It was in the mid to high 80's and the water was not too cold. There weren't a lot of people there because it is the off (and hurricane) season which made it even better!
The day we checked in, we got upstairs and looked down and this was on the beach. We sat up and watched these people get married on the beach. We thought it was sweet and ironic that we were celebrating ours while they were starting theirs!
We went fishing and the following pictures are out of order so here is our fishing trip......only backwards! lol
We caught 28 pounds of fish! They cleaned it for us and we got to bring it home. Mostly red and white snapper. We had 1 trigger fish and 1 pompano..sp?.... We caught some that we had to throw out. Not bad for a 6 hour fishing trip!!
This bird was waiting on us when we got back from fishing. Bet he knew that he was going to get to eat the part of the fish we didn't want?
