Bramell Visit

Last Friday, I went to Little Rock to the allergy specialist. I have been getting shots from an ENT here in Batesville that tested me almost 2 years ago. I have still been having issues and so I decided to go get a second opinion. I am SO glad that I did because I found out that the ENT people were WAY wrong!! I am NOT allergic to peanuts!! YEA!! (Mad that I haven't been able to eat peanuts for the last 2 years....) I am also not allergic to corn and a number of other things that the people here said I was. I have been getting 2 shots a week and the Dr. in LR said that he could get me down to one. I am so excited....but still mad at the people here! They took 3 vials of blood and are doing a lot immune testing. They are trying to figure out why I keep getting the hives. I haven't heard back yet so I am hoping that it is something that they can fix.

After my appointment, I headed to the Bramell's!! I was so excited to see them all! Becca looked like she had gotten so much taller and the babies are getting so big!! Rhonda went out Friday night and Lee and I took care of the kiddos. I took a lot of pics over the weekend. Becca is a such a big girl. She went all weekend and didn't have any accidents. YEA!! Maybe she finally has this potty training thing down. Each time she used the potty, she got to pick a prize. I stopped and picked up some things at Wal-Mart on my way to their house. She liked doing this and I think that it helped. Evan and Carley were just as sweet as can be! Evan is such a good baby and he loves to smile as you will see in the pictures. He "talks" back to you and it won't be long until he is laughing out loud. Carley is more serious. It isn't as easy (at least not for me) to get her to smile. She isn't as vocal as Evan either. She is just precious though and I think she looks a lot like Becca did at this age. She has the biggest, most beautiful blue eyes. I hope they stay that way but we will see.

The Bramell kids decked out in their Razorback gear when I got there on Friday!

Look at how much bigger Carley is than Evan!!

Look at those eyes!!

She was talking to me.

Last Bit Of Demo......Now Rebuild!!!!

I know that a lot of you are probably tired of all the post dedicated to our demo. Sorry for you folks. But I am wanting to document this for us to look back on and see the stages and what we have done. We are so very proud of ourselves. Not only have we saved ourselves about $7000 or more, but it means so much more that we have done it all on our own. We will always be able to look back at our first house and see how much hard work we put into it and much better it looked when we left than when we bought it. Not to mention the money that we make off of it!!!!

This past weekend, we got the very last of the demo done and then started back the rebuild! We are hoping to have the vinyl siding and gutters installed within the next month and a half to two months. We are so excited!!! We think that it looks SO SO much better then before. I hope you all think so too. When we get done with the outside, we will start to tackle the inside. Not in too much of a hurry to get that part done because no one sees that part and we don't have to have the space now. We were just very anxious to get that horrible stone down and get the outside looking better!

Getting ready to tear down the black board!

YEA! We are getting somewhere!

Now for the frame....

Jonathan being silly! But look at those guns!! lol

Taking a break!

Dirty work!

The frame is halfway down....

I am installing the window into its new home!

Watch out! I have power tools! lol

All down!! Woo Hoo! Doesn't it look so much better?

I have to take a few more of the end of the day when it is all done. We think that it makes the house look bigger (looking at it from the street). I can't wait to show off the end results! Stay tuned........

Labor Day Weekend!!

Jonathan had won Arkansas Travelers tickets about a month ago so we decided to go since we haven't seen the new stadium. Aunt Sharon and Uncle Jimmy (my Dad's brother) invited us to go to their house in Cabot on Sunday for a cookout. So we figured we might as well get a hotel and stay the night in Little Rock.
We left Saturday morning and stopped off at Kohl's on the way to check out their clearance racks! Man am I glad that we did!! I got a ton of stuff for a little less than $100 and saved $280!!! I got tops and pants for work that were $4, $6, and $8!!! I just love a good deal!!! Then we went ahead and went to our hotel to check in. We stayed at the Hampton Inn in downtown Little Rock. It was such a beautiful day so we decided to walk down to the River Market to find us a place to eat. The hotel shared a parking garage and walk space with some condos. We saw this sign on the way and we thought it was hilarious!

Can you spot the animal? lol

Then we saw this AWESOME car and had to go over and check it out. I was talking to Kyle, a guy I went to school with, over Facebook Thursday night. He had said that he saw a Rolls Royce in Little Rock and loved the rims and everything about the car. Kyle has always been a huge car person. He said that he didn't get a picture but that "his sources" said it was Joe Johnson, former Razorback basketball player that now plays for Atlanta. We, Jonathan and I turned the corner to go eat and saw this.....

Straight pimpin'

Suicide doors! Nice touch! These 2 guys were detailing it. We asked who owned the car and he said Joe Johnson and that he had a condo right by the hotel. The guy told us that Jermaine Taylor lived around here too and he drives a Bentley!

Jonathan thought it was awesome!!

So after checking out the car, we headed around the corner to eat at The Flying Fish and it was YUMMY! I wish I had thought to take a picture there because they had those Billy Bass singing fish all over the walls. You can bring one in, fill out the "adoption papers," and they will give you a free catfish meal. Too funny! Then we decided that we would walk across the pedestrian bridge to the stadium. I didn't realize that it would take us an hour to walk that far! We decided halfway there that we would be taking the trolley the next time we try this! But, I did get some good pictures of the river along the way.

Jonathan and the pig in the River Market!

Looking North from the bridge.

Looking South...

Looking back toward the River Market! It was a beautiful afternoon!

Jonathan enjoying a beer break on the bridge!

We finally made it to the game! It wasn't very crowded so we sat in the Beer Garden instead of out seats. I posted this picture on Facebook and a friend of mine that I haven't seen since 1st or 2nd grade saw my post and said he was there. Kara, Hannah, and Leslie remember Jeremy Cothren! lol He was my 1st boyfriend that I can remember going home and telling my mom. Kara, Hannah, and Leslie will tell you the same thing! lol Anyway, it was nice to see him after all these years and meet his beautiful wife. Too bad I was too drunk to remember to get a picture! Small world though!

A view from the cheap seats!

After the game, we took off for "the hike" back to the hotel. Poor Jonathan figured out pretty quick that I had had 1 too many to make it that far! He got us a cab! I can say that I am 30 years old and that is the first time I have ever been in a cab. I spent the rest of the night hugging the toilet. I didn't have that much beer but I guess since I hadn't drank in a few weeks due to my root canal, that my tolerance was off a bit! Go figure! lol

Saturday morning, we slept in a bit then packed up to head to Aunt Sharon and Uncle Jimmy's. It was so nice getting to see a lot of Dad's side of the family that we don't get to see often. We had such a great time playing volleyball in the pool and drinking and visiting that we decided to stay the night. Aunt Sharon took some pics while we were playing for me.
